Wearable Motion Capture Sensor
Wireless sensors can be used to monitor body position when performing specific movements. In this product, we are specifically concerned with capturing body motions on the body without requiring external sensors or tools. This gives us the ability to monitor body position anywhere, rather than localized in a small area of movement.
In order to improve the responses and accuracy of our sensors, we utilize artificial intelligence to detect patterns of sensor motion and associate them with actual body movements.
The basic operation of the wearable sensor system is presented in the diagram that follows.

The number of required sensors varies based on the specific requirements of the application.
Applications
There are a number of application areas where a free motion capture system would be an improvement over the current state of products, or would offer a new type of product or service for consumers. These include:
- First Responders – Virtual training
- Gaming – Free movement, Immersive experience
- Sports Performance Improvement – Proper form, movement, timing
- Physical Therapy – Monitor recovery and range of motion
3D Body Rendering Applications
Because the design of the sensors doesn’t tie a person to a particular location, it’s possible to measure body movement and translate the measured movements to display applications that can help users to visualize their motion. Additionally, the accuracy of the signal means that people can not only watch their motion but keep records of the range of motion. This type of application is ideal for sports training, such as weight lifting, and for physical therapy, in order to assure adherence and monitor progress of patients.
